XRAY

Diagnostic X-ray (radiography) is an examination using electromagnetic energy beams to produce images onto film or computer. X-rays let physicians see through human tissue to visualize bones, air, and other internal anatomy.  They are commonly performed for detection of bone injuries, tumors, infection and other serious conditions. There is no preparation required for most X-rays which makes them irreplaceable in an emergency situation. X-rays are fast, easy and painless which is a benefit to patients and physicians.  Although X-rays do use radiation, the level of exposure is usually very small, but you should always tell your physician and technologist if you suspect you are pregnant. There is no appointment necessary for X-rays, they are performed on a walk-in basis. Please note that patients that are scheduled for other exams are registered according to their appointment times.
